Senators faced a tumultuous session on Monday as Senator Darlington Nwokocha, Abia Central’s representative, interjected to halt the screening of former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo. Nwokocha criticized Keyamo for overseeing unsatisfactory execution of 774,000 jobs during his tenure. He demanded Keyamo explain why certain local government areas didn’t benefit under former President Muhammadu Buhari. Additionally, Nwokocha accused Keyamo of dismissing the Senate’s guidance during Buhari’s administration. Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe of Abia South seconded the motion, yet when President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, sought approval, a disorderly scene emerged with opposing voices.
