Dele Momodu, who served as the Director of Strategic Communications for the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 election, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu’s nominees for ministerial positions lack recognition and are even more obscure than the cabinet members of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.

Mr. Momodu made these statements while participating in the latest episode of the podcast “Mic On.”

During his appearance, he expressed disappointment with Tinubu’s selection of ministers, indicating that it reflects a failure on the part of Tinubu’s administration to effectively carry out its responsibilities.

He remarked, “A majority of the individuals who have been appointed are unfamiliar to me.”

“In order for a leader to achieve success, they must thoroughly evaluate their team, and what I am witnessing now is even worse than Buhari’s team,” he remarked.

Momodu highlighted a particular issue in Tinubu’s appointments, stating, “It’s unacceptable that someone is en route for a screening and then they are removed from the list. This is a disgraceful occurrence and indicates a lack of proper due diligence in the appointment process.”

He reminisced about past administrations that featured distinguished figures like Okonjo-Iweala, Ezekwesili, Nuhu Ribadu, and the original El-Rufai, emphasizing that these individuals were well-known and contributed significantly during their tenure in various roles.
