Shehu Sani, a prominent figure in socio-political discourse, expressed on Tuesday that there exists a considerable likelihood that the recently inaugurated Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, could find himself in “significant political predicaments” with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Sani acknowledged Wike’s evident competence to fulfill his responsibilities, yet he also highlighted the potential for Wike to encounter issues with the president due to his statements or actions.

The former Senator of Kaduna Central emphasized that Wike needs to master the art of navigating a precarious situation or risk facing its consequences.

In a post on his Twitter account, Sani stated, “There’s no denying the capability and efficiency of the new FCT minister to achieve results. However, there’s also no denying the prospect of him and the President encountering substantial political challenges due to his statements or actions. He must learn to tread carefully through a challenging situation, or risk suffering the consequences.”

It’s worth noting that Wike, upon assuming his role as FCT Minister on Monday, made a vow to confront controversial issues head-on, stating that he would demolish all unauthorized structures in the FCT regardless of the social standing of their proprietors. Furthermore, he pledged to put an end to open grazing practices in Abuja.
